Our School
Welcome to MCHS
Welcome to Madison County High School! It is an honor to serve as Principal of MCHS. I am a product of the Madison County School System and a graduate of Madison County High. I began my career with the Madison County School System in 1999 and joined the staff at MCHS in 2010.
Madison County High School (Gurley) was opened in 1909, being the first school in the Madison County School System. Our staff works extremely hard to maintain the rich history of TRADITION, HONOR, and EXCELLENCE. We are a Lighthouse Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and have been recognized by the U.S. News as one of Alabama’s Top 30 High Schools. We are blessed to have great students and a great staff that is surrounded by a supportive community.
